English batting all-rounder Liam Livingstone has been roped in by Melbourne Renegades for BBL 2022-23.
The Big Bash League (BBL) season 12 draft took place on Sunday, with franchises selecting players from various price brackets.
In the first round, 12 platinum ($340,000) players might be chosen, followed by platinum and gold ($260,000) in Rd 2, gold and silver ($175,000) in Rd 3, and silver and bronze ($100,000) in Rd 4.
Melbourne Renegades’s biggest and most important pick during Sunday’s drafts was English hard-hitting batter, Liam Livingstone.
According to an official statement from the franchise, Livingstone is one of the most destructive hitters in the world and has become the BBL’s inaugural number one pick on a historic night.

After the Brisbane Heat declined to utilize their retention selection to match the auction, the Renegades selected Afghanistan mystery spinner Mujeeb ur Rahman with Pick 9.
The Renegades selected West Indies left-arm spinner, Akeal Hosein, with Pick 25 after passing with Pick 24.
Squad: Zak Evans, Aaron Finch, Akeal Hosein, Liam Livingstone, Jake Fraser-McGurk, Sam Harper, Mackenzie Harvey, Nic Maddinson, Shaun Marsh, Mujeeb ur Rahman, Kane Richardson, Tom Rogers, and Jon Wells are among those who have played for the club.
