National T20 Cup: Shahid Afridi praises Shan Masood’s scintillating knock

Pakistan’s top-order batter Shan Masood has once again proven himself to be a true white-ball talent, scoring a half-century against Central Punjab in the second match of the National T20 Cup on Tuesday.

Batting at number four today, Shan scored a blistering 32-ball 50. The left-handed batter scored 54 runs off 36 balls, including six boundaries, forcing the cricket board to bring him back to the white-ball format once again.

His knock also impressed former Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi.

“Really impressed by the determination and dedication of Shan Masood. I have always admired players who are willing to do the hard work in domestic cricket and let their cricket performances talk for them,” Afridi wrote on Twitter.

Shan recently demonstrated his abilities in the English domestic season. Following his outstanding performance, he was named to Pakistan’s Test team for the upcoming Sri Lanka tour. However, he was unable to secure a match.
