Sri Lanka Knocks India Out of Asia Cup 2022

Sri Lanka defeated India in a nail-biting thriller by 6 wickets on Tuesday. The do-or-die match for India was played at the Dubai Cricket Stadium, Dubai. 

Earlier, after being sent to bat first, India set a target of 174 runs for Sri Lanka, thanks to captain Rohit Sharma’s 41-ball 72.

Sri Lanka chased down the massive total on the second last ball of the final over with 6 wickets in hands.

Bhanuka Rajapaksa and Dasun Shanaka added 64 runs for the fifth wicket to seal the game for Islanders. 

With this win, Sri Lanka have won their both Super 4 round matches and sit comfortably at the top of the table. India, on the other, have lost both games in the Super 4 round, and need a miracle to qualify for the final of the tournament.
