Former Pakistan captain Salman Butt took a jab at Shoaib Malik following the veteran all-rounder’s controversial tweet.
The 40-year-old, who was ignored for the recently concluded Asia Cup, accused the team of a friendship culture.
Soon after the 23-run defeat in the final, Malik tweeted that “when will we come out from friendship, liking and disliking culture. Allah always helps the honest”.

Responding to the tweet, Butt said that Malik should name the players so that they can be held accountable.
“You may have noticed Shoaib Malik’s tweet on the Pakistan team’s friendship culture. But he must mention those guys since he has played with many of them throughout the years,” Butt told Pakistan Television. “Vague assertions will not result in responsibility, therefore Malik must identify those guys.”
Chasing 171 for victory, The Men in Green were bowled out for 147 with Madushan claiming four wickets and Hasaranga taking 3-27 in Dubai on Sunday.
